A name universally acknowledged as an authority and pioneer in British hairdressing, Max Centini is a true visionary, an acclaimed hair stylist, entrepreneur and figurehead for the renowned Designed for Hair brand.

Since demonstrating his first hair collection aged 16 on stage at Cosmoprof, Bologna, Italy – one of the world‘s most influential hairdressing events, Max is one of the hair and beauty industries foremost trend setters and his work has impacted the international beauty landscape for nearly two decades.

He arrived in London from his native Italy with 20.000 Lira in his pocket and has since gone on to develop his formidable career. His passion for detail and original design brought him to the attention of the Vidal Sassoon International Creative Team. As his reputation increases the demand for his work grows ever stronger with Max contributing on a wealth of high profile campaigns and editorial features in some of the world’s leading publications.

Highlights have included fashion shows in association with Vogue and Harvey Nichols, the new Wonderbra campaign and being named London colour fixer in Vogue July 2009 and May 2010 issues. He collaborated with fashion photographer Mads Perch creating the Summer Impressions for Dr Hauschka’s make-up range and styles Sophie Dahl’s hair for her new cookery book.

In 2004 he opened his eco chic hair salon in London’s Fulham. The Salon is a creative hub for Centini and his team of colourists, stylists and beauty therapists; it rapidly became a successful business attracting artists and professionals alike. Tatler includes Centini in its 2014 Hairguide calling Max unique highlighting technique "brilliant". Sustainability is the driving force behind the salon design. He works closely with the Italian designer Maletti Group to create an all-sustainable experience.

His love for beautiful hair guides him to design a unique styling technique and educate and nurture a team of young talented hairdressers. At the end of 2012 he opened Centini Blowdry Bar a fast, fun and young salon by Fulham Broadway. In 2015 Maximiliano opened Centini Hair, a new concept salon in Parsons Green. The next stage of his career leads him to develop tools for his industry, launching a line of Professional Styling Tools for hairdressers and their clients. The range is sold worldwide and available in the UK through House of Centini and designedforhair.com.
